About The Kahimyang Project

This site is owned and maintained by a small group of people led by Primo Esteria.   Kahimyang is a Waray-waray (or Waray-visayan) term meaning Peace. Waray-waray is a Filipino language dialect spoken mainly in the Samar and Leyte islands in the eastern-central Philippines also known as Eastern Visayas. Our logo is the letter "K" or syllable "ka" in the pre-hispanic Filipino alphabet, baybayin.

We publish Philippine history articles focused on significant daily historical events.

We publish programming how-to blogs and code snippets that are meant to aid accomplish a specific computing task and not about the programming language or tool.

Our Typhoon Center monitors near real-time atmospheric conditions in the Western Pacific basin near and around the Philippine archipelago.

We are a JSF 2/PrimeFaces website.
